early welcome
It is nine in the evening here, probably noon in the states where I am from. I am welcoming May early on my blog. Tomorrow I won't be on the computer, the kids all have the day off and I am not sure what we will be up to but I have decided to cross the computer off my list. With my new blog comes a new kt40 banner at the top of my blog each new month and new color fonts, my way of shaking things up a bit and noticing what each month brings me, my kids helped me pick the flowers and stood around while I arranged things saying "Yes!" "No!" "That doesn't really work, Mom" to "That is my favorite one!" They are my helpers and sometimes they feel like my stay late at work(home) to finish the blog errr...I mean "the project" colleagues(they aren't as into my blog as I would like to pretend they are). Even though they are much younger than me and don't drink coffee yet and this blog isn't really a job, they are my honest critics about it and sometimes this can wear on me but most importantly they are my children that wander in and out of whatever project I am working on and offer their two cents(these are very shiny new pennies of course), and if there were do-overs in life, I wouldn't change a thing.

I thought this little house was beautiful with it's gray door and shutters up above and the blue spray for the grapes that managed to stain the walls. Seemed like a fitting photo for May, colors as soft as the name itself.
My son also has opinions about my blog, KT....right now, he's mostly concerned with how I represent what he says and makes in our everyday life. Last summer, I helped him set up his own blog, hoping that he'd enjoy telling his own stories and showing his work, but he remains much more interested in what I'm doing. I do value his ideas, just as it sounds like you do--and I suppose I should be happy that he still feels invested in what I'm doing.

Priscilla,
I love that you helped him set up his own blog, what an introduction into writing, photography and journaling for him. I also love how you used the word "invested" I sometimes forget how this goes both ways, we invest in our children and they in return do the same for us. Parenting has so many levels and when you have time for being creative and sharing this creativity together it really can make you smile. kt

I just found your blog and love it....I also love the photo in this post...the one with the door and window.
I was wondering if I could use it sometime as a banner for my blog. I tend to switch my banners out quite often and this photo is just so fresh !
{and of course I'll give you credit for it}
thanks a bunch, beth

Hi Katy, I just came across your website and loved it, you have so many crazy amazing beautiful things on it! It's nice to know that other mothers are creative too, I've been doing lots of crafty things with/for my boys lately. Say hi to Suzanne and I'll let you know if I get over to Italy this summer... Baci! Ursula
